Guess I do not drive my car much I put on 3870 miles in the last five years. Have a full size truck, crossover, and compact to drive. Total miles is 116,830. Drive for fun. Other vehicles serve their practicle purposes.

There are so many ways to cheat either scenario. Come on, pedals. Yah that can be changed for about $25.
What the actual mileage is for a 17 year old car is really just a guideline. It doesn't mean **** to me anyways. Maybe things are different in Mississippi but here in Ontario a winter driven car will show age very quickly. Plus many play toys, often Mustangs are put away for the winter. So low mileage, fairweather driven cars are common.
With that said. I'd rather buy a car with that is all stock, highway driven, garaged and well cared for with 100,000 miles. Instead of a car that's used to drive kids to school two block away, run to the grocery store 1 mile away or had modifications removed (so now you can see them) like nitrous, a high boost pulley or slicks.
Mileage is a good guideline when comparing 2 five year old cars to each other but once they are 17 years old. It's the condition you actually see that should sell the car.

I bought a 1989 vert with 89k on it, paid 8k for it, and it was actual mileage. If you're not a moron, you can tell how many miles are approximately on the car by assessing body torquing damage.
Stop trashing mustangs just because you think the salesman is a liar.
