Default C6 AOD swap to C4

I installed the transmission but when I bolted the transmission to the motor, my converter bolts are touching the aluminum dust plate between the motor and the transmission. Also, the balance on the flywheel is touching the dust plate. What can be the reason for this?

I've done it in the past and I don't remember it being a problem. What can I be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I remember now having to do that before but I still have the issue of the balancer on the flywheel is also rubbing.

Are you using the same flexplate that you did with the other auto? WHat did you do exactly? You named 3 different transmissions in the title and didn't specify what you did.

swapped the old C6 for a '78 Mercury Cougar's C4 on my 1992 5.0 Mustang convertible. I realized what the problem was, it was just that the converter didn't fit right the first time. Already fixed. Also replaced headers, mufflers and tailpipes. Sounds awesome. Can't wait to take it to the track. Thanks all for the suggestions.
