Default ordering parts for build need opinions

http://www.summitracing.com/checkout/cart.aspx

starting my build, car is at my shop im hitting the engine bay with fresh paint, I need a K member, I have coilovers and tube A arms I dont want fitment issues with them however, they dont use the factory spring mounts.

Why do aftermarket K members move the wheels forward??

And tell me what you think of the parts?

I dont know which head studs or head gaskets to get. the trick flow gasket set has everything but should I go with better head gaskets??

My build thread will be opening up soon when i get pics up, and the motor just came out yesterday. I'm stoked!

get ARP head studs

and the trickflow gasket set comes with the good head gaskets.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-51400914/
it has the:
Fel-Pro Performance Z10112 gaskets
and the Fel-Pro 1262 intake gaskets

this was the kit i bought when i did my hci swap

you will just need the upper intake gasket for what ever intake you and running. i also bought the rubber valvecover gaskets because the cork ones are one time use (usually)

also like protrickvic said go with the TFS FAC 190cc heads. why bother with the 170cc??

what intake do you plan on running?

i would run that setup however 190cc heads wont work with stock pistons sadly, i would run into ptv issues if i had a set of pistons it would work beautifully but the bottom end has to remain stock.

I have trick flow track heat upper and lower intakes. i could go with the gasket kit however theres a billion other head gaskets out there its so confusing becasue if my combo isnt enough power done i have a vortech V1 i could toss on, want to make sure headgaskets will hold without o rings. any complaints about the gasket set you ordered?

no these are really nice. prob one of the best imo with out going o-ring'd. they have the steal ring around each cylinder to prevent blowout. read the description on them. im sure these will hold up just fine against the s/c too.

my buddy has them and he's running n2o and i will be soon aswell. i have no worries about them at all.

and it is possible to notch your pistons w/ a dremel while they are still in the engine. just bring each up tdc and put tape over everything. make a template and grind away. make sure you vacuum often. there is a thread on here somewhere where someone did it if you would like to see pix

if you are running a stock 88 bottom end with standard 4v reliefs cut, then i wonder where you get your info? or are you assuming? if it is a stock bottom end, it will fit with the correct cam....custom cam, and if you do go with the 190's you should do custom since you'll want a smaller profile cam.
