Just made a very disturbing discovery on my '94 Cobra...
Talk about an expensive mistake. I got my new shortblock in today, got my heads back from the machine shop, and got ready for the pre-assembly. I NEVER looked at the casting number of my heads before taking them to the shop, just automatically assumed they were GT40's since that's what came on the car stock. Spent $260 getting them milled, cleaned, and valve job, i happen to look at the number tonight, and what do i see? "E7TE". Talk about pissed. Guess that was a lesson hard learned. Always check your casting numbers before you assume. >

Doubt it, considering i've know him a while, and i go in there to pick up my stuff in uniform alot of times. Just my own stupid mistake for not paying closer attention to what was actually on my car. Ugh. I guess a previous owner swapped the GT40'd motor for a "craigslist long block" before i got it. At least they kept the intakes and 1.7's. Also had a Canton 7qt on it...with a stock pick-up tube. Some people....
