carb and stock tach ?

Default carb and stock tach ?

anyone running a carb and using a stock tach.ive been trying to figure out which wires i would have to use to get it to work but im drawing a blank right now.

I did it for awhile. Ran the stock tach wire to the neg coil post. I can't remember the color of the wire but I can check.

Dark green with yellow tracer wire is on negative side of coil. This will give tach signal..

When I switched to carb my stock tach never worked again even after hooking up the dg/y wire to the neg side of coil.

For some reason my tach wire was tan. I tried hooking up the DG/Y wire and it wouldn't work either. Traced it back and found that for some reason mine wasn't the same color as most.

well here in a few days i will have it all hooked up and ill let you know what color i had to use

Whatever wire is on the negative side of ignition coil will be the wire for tachometer.

my 92 is carb and runs the oem tac , with no issue, can't remember the wire I used but iirc it was out under the hood
