never removed the starter for them... you do need to jack the motor up though... which makes it a good time to replace motor mounts

and fyi i was gonna be cheap and did not replace the old ones on my '89... got it all done and ...yup they bumped on the frame. had to do it twice

 

i already have poly motor mounts and i was going to do it this weekend when i have to change the oil pan gasket
