AOD tranny cooler line question

AOD tranny cooler line question
So I got my tranny mounted properly thanks to help from the forums, and the next step to complete the install is the tranny cooling lines. I have no old ones to use as a template, so I was thinking of making 2 ends for steel tubing (I do believe they're 1/4" pipe fittings?), doing the same at the rad, and running neoprene lines. Now my first rig had a similar setup , but I'm not sure if it was neoprene hosing or another type, and I know tranny fluid doesn't play well with many things.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

One tip. Bypass the radiator and install a good quality trans cooler. Your tranny will run cooler by bypassing the radiator. Iwould also install a tranny temp gauge. When running your lines, try to keep them as far away from your exhaust Hope this helps.

I was going to run the lines just to the rad, and when I got it running I was going to get a cooler, but I got a line on a good used set and an electric fan, so it looks like I'll be installing a cooler. The temp gauge is a good idea though. What's the nominal temp for a stock AOD?
