Default Getting back into a Mustang

Need some opinions and help. I haven't had a Mustang for about 10 years, and now my kids are at the point where I can get another one. I'm looking at a 1990 LX 4 cyl. and need some refresher on everything. The car is straight and the guy only wants $800 for it. It runs too. I'm thinking about a stroker, new trans, and I'll need a different rear end, right? Are the 4 cyl rears 7.5's? That's the stuff I'm pretty comfortable with. What I'm not too sure about is the other problems I'll run into..... computer, suspension, and other possible differences between 4 cyl's and V8's. Any info is greatly appreciated.

$800 for a four banger is too much. Most can be had for under $500. As far as the rear, yes, you'll want to swap that. You will need a different computer(unless you want to carb it). If you stay EFI then you'll need the harness for it. The suspension should be upgraded, but that's up to you how far you want to go with it, just like the rest of your build will be.
