Default Coil over spring rate

I know this has been asked before but I haven't asked yet.

I have been thinking about getting UPR's front coil over kit. What would be a good spring rate to get with them and what length springs? 12 or 14

I have BBK specifics right now (650lbs/in front) and they are great in the corners but pretty rough on decent bumps. My nose is a tad lighter than most 93's for obvious reasons and it just feels like 650 is just a tad much for normal decently comfortable street driving. It doesn't allow for hardly any compression. I know I also need new shocks and struts all the way around, I still have factory motorcrafts so that doesn't exactly help either.

When I did my coilovers and k member setup I contacted Dave @ Team Z. I let him know that I would mostly have my car on the street and he recommended I get the 12" 170lb springs. So far so good.

Kyle, since you still have your front end apart can you measure the overall diamter of the coil over where the tire would make contact if too wide. Just thought about it, I run 275's in the front and I know its kinda close to the strut already. I have been thinking of getting 245's for the front when I get new ones with taxes but I love the look and this thing loves the corners with them

Whats the point in different length springs? Allow more compression movement?
