need rocker help

Default need rocker help

i have a 5.0 ho with some basic work. i bought the car this way so the extent of the work is a mystery. i have just found that the miss im having is due to a broken rocker arm. the car has a set of proform roller pedistal mount rockers on it. i have found the rockers on line but i can not find any markings on them to destinguish if they are 1.6 or 1.7's. anyone have any ideas how to tell them apart or where they may be marked?

You need a dial indicator to check the lift. Mount the indicator on the head above the rocker and slowly rotate the engine. Check the dial and see what the measured lift is. Compare that number to the stock lift specs. From there you can figure out what rocker ratio you have.

thats about the only way your going to get it done.


if it where me in the same situation, I would be more worried about the other rocker arms failing. I would just find and put OEM rockers back on if there stock heads.

Ya the heads are aluminum trick flows. After what I have read about these rocker arms I'm not impressed any way. I'm just going to order a new set of 1.7 rollers from crane.

trickflow's rockers are cheap, and I have never really heard a issue out of 'em
