Nice, didn't think of that one. Would be much simpler then drilling the subframes, and tapping it for a bolt, or something.

I still have my front sway bar. I know it might speed me up a bit at the track to lose it, but I just hate the idea of the car being a pig in the corners.

did you use a impact gun to get the bolts off or a cheater bar?

I tried taking mine off when it was just a bolt on car, but couldn't get the damn bolts loose for anything, I gave up on it.

with the motor out tommarow, i will have plenty of room to break them loose and add a ground.

I'm at work right now. get home at 830am, watch my son all day. and I will get to bed around 9pm. have the next two days off, so im going to get up at 4am, and work on the car, as my girlfriend goes to work at 11am. so that gives me some time.

going to atleast get the motor out tommarow morning. if it comes out quicker then expected, I will start tearing it apart.

spare motor is ready to go. all surfaces cleaned and such. and I have all the parts I need, such as gaskets and junk. so it will go together extremely quickly

as long as I don't run into anything unexpected I should have the new motor in the car come saterday.

I never really had too much of an issue with this one. The previous owners didn't have the correct brackets on it anyway so I have had this bar off a couple of times. The damn thing started wearing a hole in my oil pan from movement when I first started driving the car.

I wouldn't be surprised if you end up breaking the bolts and having to get new ones.

hope not.

bored tonight, read the entire thread of mine from last year when I did this head/cam swap and all that other jazz.

it boggles my mind how many issues I had over and over and over, and just when I got it running pretty good, it spun the bearings.

lol, that damn motor was jinxed or something.

and I had totaly forgot about how it had leaked half a gallon or so of coolant from the driver side head. never had another issue from that. odd as hell!

hopefully I have better luck with this new motor

Yea I know! I can't believe you had the issues! You should have never needed a tune to work right but it might have been the altitude.

idk, I think its more from the aggressive off the shelf cam. a more mild cam, or a custom aggressive cam would have probably made the computer run the car easier

my only other theory is that the crank is so screwed it was throwing off the timing or something.

lol, figures. just my luck eh?

maybe its the maf then? Pro-m is supposed to be the best, but who knows. could be a bad maf.

part of me is thinking its as simple as a bad TPS sensor too....... as it would brake up at certain throttle inputs, but not others even after the tune.... hrrmm
