My Clear coat is pretty faded in some spots, and I have a few Scratches. What am I looking at for new paint? A real paint job, not Maco BS.

You mean an overall repaint? Same color or changing color?

For a factory clean finish, it will run about $2,000 to $2,500 to keep your current color, repaint and clear.

Prob be $3k to $4k for a color change, doing door jams, trunk, ect ect.

Prices can vary wildly though by location, who you use, so call around and see what your local places say. Usually with paint though, you def get what you pay for.

It also depends on how much work you do yourself. If you want to save yourself a good little chunk of change strip off everything you do not want painted.....all trim, tail lights, headlights, quarter windows, yada yada yada....

I just want the Factory Black repainted on my Cobra. I was thinking of pulling the headlights and stuff and getting the car towed where ever it goes. It needs fresh paint though. It's the only thing holding my Cobra back from being extra clean. Now i just have to call around and ask. I wont be able to get it done until 4 months from now; when I get back from Afghanistan.

If u can do it itself it will coat u round 800.... That's how much I ended up paying. Once u throw any kinda of labor into the equation the price goes up 10 fold. I know people that have paid up to 9000 for a repaint. This also includes body work such as fixing rust/holes/dents

our shop is starting at $4000 with no jambs and mild body work the price goes up from there. Base clear is all we use.

So I'm looking at 2-4k? Looks like it's going to be expensive. I need new paint though.
Kwebb- I would do it my self but I don't have the time or the equipment(air compressor, spray gun, descent booth). So I'm going to have to have someone do it.

dont need a booth to do a decent job.... I did mine in the garage and it turned out awsome!
