Default Efi fuel pump with blow though set up???

Well when my old 302 took its own life, i decided to go with a carb set up, and i was gonna use the efi pump with some sort of return.... now i want to do a blow through set up. It will be a mild set up, maybe about 8psi max. Will the efi pump be okay for this set up?

It'll work. You actually need a higher pressure pump for blow through anyway. You run a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator that increases fuel psi to compensate for boost pressure, to keep the boost pressure that vents into the bowls from forcing air back into the fuel line at the carb. Let's say you need 6.5psi for the carb, you run 6.5psi + X boost pressure for your fuel pressure. So at 10psi of boost your line pressure in a blow through carb that needs 6.5psi would actually be at 16.5psi. Remember that fuel pressure is measured as psi above 1 standard atmosphere of pressure, once you add boost you're higher than atmospheric, so your reference pressure to 1 standard atm/bar etc goes up.

It'll still need a return style though.

Cool, glad it will work. Thanks for the help.

If you contact someone like Barry Grant, Quick Fuel, Pro Systems etc they can recommend a regulator for your system, and a carb if need be.
