light weight flywheel?
my clutch is slipping at high rpm. so i know whats coming and my flywheel has been milled twice. i was looking at the aluminum flywheels, has anybody here used them and what is the effect, are they worth the price? if this has been posted before my bad i couldnt find it.
Good for a road race setup, especially if you heel/toe. Might help on the trip, but on most cars the performance gain is minimal or not noticeable, gonna depend a lot on the set up. Running a stock iron flywheel? You might want to step up to a steel SFI one and a good scatter shield if you plan on making more power later and running at the track. Most of us are rather attached to our feet.
Hell just forget the flywheel and put a 4.11 gear in that thing and be worry free!
Atleast that was the hock in a different thread!
OP the flywheel with help your engine especially if balanced to have less stress from rotatoinal weight, obtain quicker throttle response, but too can cause you to have a slight bog upon take off from the lack of weight being slung around!
