1995 Mustang Cylinder Heads
#11
I ran 185 afr's on a 306 for a few years, ran fine on the street, streetability will all be in cam choice.....the combo I had yielded 12.20's @112 traction issues.......185's will be fine, if afr's are what you are talking about or if a 170cc head makes you feel better such as a tfs tw head go for that the tfs tw 170 cc head is comparable cross sectionally to an afr 185 cc head which makes them a good comparisson, runner size does not always equate to a just cause it is bigger = better...you should look at flow, cross section, valve shrouding, types of components used in the valvetrain, combustion chamber size ect ect.... bottomline is decide what your goal for the car is and choose a build accordingly

If im correct, the larger the runner, the more sluggish lower rpm's/ better higher rpm's. So then with a set up close to the trickflow kit, the 185's seem like a good choice since they arent as big as 205's and flow a little better than the 170's on the top end
