I'm looking at a cobra upper and lower intake manifold for $250 it has new blue paint and cobra badge on it. So my question is what's the differnece between cobra or oem intake manifold. I have a bbk in fender CAI to so that may help a little if the cobra flows better.

Not very much difference with just an intake, I would guess that you may net 5-10 hp/tq. Not worth the hassle for an intake alone, IMO.

on my first 5.0 i did a ported gt40 tubular, and netted ZERO et reduction

and on a couple of my other cars, i sprayed them with a 100 shot and they went mid 12's on stock induction

so based on that... in my opinion....

the stock intake will support about 300 hp, and provides enuff flow

so until you do heads...you dont need an intake.
