how many of these F'n threads are you going to start?
https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...-460-swap.html
https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...351w-swap.html
You might as well get a thread for swapping an LS1 into your car so you can have all the basis covered.
I'm assuming your 15 maybe 16 and someone has convinced you to swap a pushrod motor into a 99/04 because the Modular engine supposedly sucks?

i got my PI heads for $250 with 32K on them...

just saying

and the reason there arent any threads is because at the end of the day a 4.6 will run away from a 302 unless you drop $2K on the block alone and then go from there...

no not stock pi heads im talking beefing up a 4.6 and dealing with sohc motor and efi crap is expensive and old school pushrod motors are somewhat cheap to build and carb is simpler and cleaner looking

If you don't have a job, how are you planning to afford the couple grand for this swap?

Also, if this ever manages to materialize you will lose your license if you get caught, if not worse.

You do realize a pushrod 5.0 rips itself apart at 400 horse power.....that not the internals, thats the block splitting...

With forged internals only you can make a mod motor hold a lot more.......

As for wanting to go back to being carbed.........why? I've never understood this? You're throwing horsepower and efficiency out the window so you can have an unreliable crappy running car that wont start for 20 minutes below 50 degrees.

I'm guessing you haven't worked on a whole lot of EFI and computer controlled vehicles......there is nothing complicated about them.

Oh yes the professional street racer career let us know how that works out for you. I have a 16yr old at home and I can say this with confidence but your generation scares the crap out of me your your lack of common sense

LMAO, son you got alot to learn, and you wont be winning anything in a money street race unless u bring a 9 second street car to the race, which your definatly not gonna see on your budget. With your budget and the motor your swapping in you can loose to newer honda accords in a drag race, you need a serious car and serious money to compete in real deal money street racing.
