Well what year 5.0 are you going to put in this car? Is it a factory EFI engine or carb?

The decision for mechanical vs. electric pumps boils down to what you want, power levels and the budget.

Electrical, mechanical fuel pumps have been gone for years. With a $2300 budget, there is in no way shape or form to take a 99-04 mustang v6 and turn it into a carbed 400hp car with a pushrod 302 naturally aspirated. Its just never going to happen..................

To put it into persepctive the OP has made several post on several different motors swaps. The car is a stock new edge mustang v6, he thinks with a 2300$ budget he is going to build a 400rwhp naturally aspirated stock dispalcement 302 pushrod motor, along with a fuel system, transmission, drivetrain, and proper exhaust, driveline and suspension compenets to make the car 100% driveable...........on a $2300 budget. The budget alone wouldn't even come close to covering a 400hp NA motor to begin with.

And this car has to be built well enough to sustain an income for the OP from street racing profits instead of working a job.

Moving this over to the pushrod section where theres more people that can comment on building 400rwhp stock displacement 302s and what budget is needed for it.

I swapped a 5.0 last year, had a couple things laying around but it still wasn't cheap to do if you want something reliable and safe. Keep in mind I already had a driveshaft, rear, suspension and engine bay that required no work/beefing to accept this engine. I also did not go into performance at all with this swap, just posting this info so you get the idea of what just a swap may run. All the parts are generic
