Default Best Paint?

Just got my valve covers in, bought the cheapest aluminum ones that still work for my application. The only downside is they are black/red Ford Racing lettering, which doesn't match the colors of the motor lol.

So, what would be the best paint for these valve covers? I have engine paint left over from the block, would this work, or should I look into powdercoating?

powercoating for sure...much more durable!
i would check with a local powdercoater to see what types of color matching they offer and/or aluminum or what they call "near chrome" the black chrome some of the powdercoaters have is pretty amazing as well

Anodizing is another option, although one-off productions can be expensive.

I'd just use High tempature engine paint. That way you can always scuff it and touch it up if it gets tired looking.

Dupli-color high heat engine paint will do you just as good.

Yeah I've got some left over from when I painted the block, I'll just use that. Thanks for the input!

One more question, should I bake the paint on with the oven or just let it dry normally?
