engine modifications
From another site, here's a guy running 11's with some "big" heads on a 306.
Note 190 heads AND stock HO cam. Pretty cool IMO. The original thread
Well low and behold my back is up against the wall now since I split my 347 block. I run for points in UMTR and we have 2 races left. So I am scrambling right now to get a motor together by this Wednseday. So what I have right now at my disposal is a 306 with a windage tray(wohoo thats worth 2 tenths LOL). In all seriousness though. A 306 pistons .010 out of the hole. Sucks ***** cause we are only able to get a stock cam to work. Cam is degreed in at 4* retarded. Total Engine Airflow ported TFS FAC 190 heads, 1.6 RR, Parker Funnel Intake, Quick Fuel 750 Carb running E85. Should be interesting as to what she will do. Plan is to have everything buttoned up Wednseday and tune on it on Thursday and Friday. Load her up and head out for Saturdays race. She should go 11's easy not sure how deep though. Will let you all know on Sunday!!

Good stuff there,downside no ca/50 state legal heads over 185cc but that wont stop me.
is there a way to mod the heads to accept egr by the way that seems to be the difference any how?
Also that dyno sheet showed some poser drop @around 6k rpm so with even more cam or tweeks seems to be a few extra horses.
thanks much that a type of dyno result i was looking for also ,although its compared to gt40s its good enough .
After my post earlier about the 351w i did a little moor digging and its changed my mind and im really looking forward to getting it done , i hope the motor is still available and in nice condition..
Any takers on how much its going to cost to have it in and running?has everything already on it
im ball parking it at 500$ for headers(if needed , ill have about 3 sets to try including the stock 351 set) and oil pan kit not sure what else would actually be needed ( id like to just get it in running and have upgrades be phase 2)

We talking 351w & 302w/strokers . If i do which i plan to do and get the 351w like tomarrow ..i still have my other 302 88 gt wich i plan to up the power in also ,Will also have a spare 302 laying around which may go nice with my crashed 89 lx roller (89 rollers hurt pretty bad though were talking control arms k member and a couple hundreds to get it close to if not straight again from the inpact) I may just buy another roller that isnt crashed and salvege my parts from my 89lx.I have already looked a a few. i have nearly to many cars already though ..

well looks like the seller has backed out and dose not want tto sell the motor. says he dosent want to go though the trouble of putting in the hatch of my mustang, i can t find a truck, says he'll load it in a truck . I said just put it in the hatch that's all i ask and ill do the rest ..my buddy said he's put motors in the hatch before so im sure itll work ..
Well that sorta threw me and now im back lost again and not sure about keeping this fox. I got in it after work and the battery was dead. good thing i parked down hill i had to push start it. not sure if it'll start tomorrow morning though . i have to work hope so.
After all we have talked about here i may save the mods for my other fox i was planing on a turbo but with all the issues i have and work to be done . i may just get a new car.
looking a a 67 coupe , but it has a rusted floor and owner says it needs a patch oh yeah and no trans but i was planning on swapping the motor/trans from my fox anyhow .. seems small if that's all the rot it has
