Default Exhaust Leak will NOT go away

Hello everyone.

I am having a problem with my passenger side header leaking. I have trickflow aluminum heads and am using the same size bolts that are used on the iron heads. I just put a new gasket on the car and was hoping this would solve the problem because when I got the old one off it had a hole in it from the bolt grabbing on to it and tearing it. I started the car after putting the new gasket on with my fingers crossed, and there it was the tick tick again. The bolts are all tight, I am curious as to if they are tight from the bolt bottoming out or if it actually has the header completely flush with the head. Any one else have constant problems with exhaust leaking, this is putting a real downer on the end of the season for driving.

Thanks!

Default

Get a dead soft copper or aluminum gasket and torque the bolts down correctly. Should fix your problem.
