Ebrake left on...

Default Ebrake left on...

Let someone drive my car, left the ebrake on for a good 5 miles.... It smoked...alot... but im assuming no harm done to the car in the long run?

It just took a little life out of your brake shoes. Nothing to worry about.

It was a laugh when it was all said and done... lots of smoke though haha

You will find that the secondary shoe lining will be burnt and or glazed bad. In some cases the drum will be blued (hot spots) (warped) and may later on take the jumping or bouncing effect when braking. Then it will be time to do brake job on rear.
