first time mustang owner
hi guys, I am an FE ford guy turned dodge/nissan guy. i have always had an interest in the fox body mustang but never acted on my urge to own one. until now. i was/am in a finacial bind and traded my super clean one owner V8 thunderbird for a 91 gt plus got a little cash. i knew it was a disaster when i made the deal, but needed the money. starting out the car was gutless, but came with brand new m.t. drag radials. got to looking the car over on the tra trailer before i traded and was a little scared of it. i got it home and started looking over the car and found that it was infact 2 cars welded together. EEEK. so i bought a super clean 92 4 cyl car for 250. i started tearing the gt apart and barely had to use a wrench cause everything was loose. got the motor out and pulled the upper plenum and foud a mess of oil in the intake, pulled the heads and found that 4 intake valves had contacted the pistons and were bent. the cylinder walls are like glass and has a decent ridge. mains and rods are all worn to copper but smooth. so i am re-ringing it and puttin bearings in it. turns out it has gt40 heads and a yyy block. the clutch is new and the trans is in good shape. the retard bent the clutch pedal and the gas pedal towards the brake, you always accidentally push all 3 down all the time. so far i have 950 in this car total. i bought an engine kit for 150 and this week will be buying an e303, cobra maf, eec and injectors for 150, and may be getting a free ac setup. i will keep you posted on this retarded mess im dealing with, plus i may list some parts for sale, i have a black dash and some interior panels i need rid of.

block is nothing special, stock roller block most likely, you nee to have it machined, not a scuff and dip paint it blue call it new, otherwise, if that rige is not removed, you will ruin a set of rings upon install an start up.

indeed, I have a machine shop to take it to if my equipment doesnt work, i'll be sure to be careful and not f it all up. other than that ll just hone the **** out of it. i do know that the block ain't ****. its just a tbird block which is the reason im replacing the cam, my understanding is that the tbird had a different cam
