Considering getting a 2011 5.0

Yes, so very true. The '11 GT is the best bang for the buck. Sure, the current Challenger SRT8 pumps out 425 crank BHP and about 420 crank torque, but even with 12 more crank hp and 30 more crank torque, that engine is hobbled by the heavy *** car.
The Coyote does have to lug around a heavy car too, the S197 is a heavier vehicle than the SN95 or the fly-weight Fox bodies, but the Coyote has a torque curve that will push that weight around easily.
Moreover, the Coyote has alot of growing room as part of its design. It WILL have direct injection and forced induction from the factory soon enough.
And the GT trim some year models from now will easily surpass what the GT500 is pumping out today, and still maintain decent, if not better, fuel economy.

Mmm last year of the Trans Am with a LS1. Not really sure what your aim is with the car so this may not apply but I would hold onto that toy car never again will we get the chance to own another New Trans Am. Well it’s already what 8-9 years old what’s another 20 years going to be. Plus its already paid for.

i love driving around corners more than in a straight line. thats why i got 2011 gt it gave me the most hp best agility (to my liking) and the lowest price.
oh i came from the euro scene and i was really craving a muscle car!
but like everyone says which ever one makes you the happiest and how do you want to drive with it

It should be about one month from the day you order it. That's how my 09 was when I ordered it. When it does come in make sure you spend some time reviewing the paint. I had a nice mark across my hood that I didn't see until I got home. As with all dealers they want a happy customer so they will fix it. Little wet sanding and good as new.

That is so true. The build time from order to complete has been taking much longer than usual.
For example, the GT I bought was not ordered by me. Another guy actually placed the order in March, in hopes of getting it at the promised date of in May (Ford was not even releasing the 2011 GT yet, but they were taking pre-orders). May rolls around when the '11GTs began to hit the dealerships in my area, but the order this guy placed was not even started yet. So what he did is go to a dealer that already had them on the lot, bought one, and canceled the order he placed.
Come August, I go to the dealer, and ask them for a 'Stang with what I wanted. And as it so turns out, what the guy before me ordered is just what I wanted, and when I signed the paperwork, my car (the previous guy's order) was just being loaded from the factory onto the train to bring to Texas!
So, in the case of my car, it actually took 4 (four) months for the factory to finish the order.
My case is an extreme case, so don't think that your custom order will take 4 months to complete too.
