You sound like a big SISSY how can I drive on a country road when I don't live in the country? Where did you get that I drive in traffic "all out" idiot. I've been driving for 25 years and my 2011 is my 41st car and guess what ZERO wrecks. You don't buy a car like this for Sunday driving you buy it because of the love of great performance and where I'm from this is what we do. Funny how some people steer from the question asked "Will cutting my CATS off affect the back pressure on the motor" on my 2011 5.0, not what it would sound like or what I should buy. Dumba@@

Very nice find indeed Mishri!

edit: actually, its powerloss vs a catback (rarely done on these cars) up to 6300rpm, but a gain over intake+tune only. what i find very surprising is the axleback showed around a 5whp gain, didn't think you'd get any out of that (muffler only)

and teh guy said he wants to do this for drag strip racing.. so yes, he should see about a .2 gain off of throwing an off-road midpipe on there.

Is is an interesting dyno sheet.

As far as that little explosion up there...I'm not even going to respond to that. It's funny to me that people question the younger generations and how they are ever going to fare in society when there are people like this (41 years old?) in current adult stature. We'll be just fine. Lack of intelligence isn't limited by age or any other classification, that's for sure.

And shark tales, if you want, click on the "Carolina MF'er" banner in my profile, and add your information in the members list thread. It's basically a regional forum that will help you learn about events and other members on the forum in NC/SC.

You don't need back pressure to make torque. Back pressure is the enemy of power. The only time people lose torque is if they change runner lengths. Longer runner lengths are most efficient at scavenging at higher rpms, and therefore the HP increase. However, if you make the runners too long, you may see a torque decrease as well. If you only take the cats off and don't change any other part of the exhaust system, you will gain HP and torque. Please don't keep spreading the false information about back pressure being required to make torque. If you understand physics or any part of engineering, you would understand that back pressure only reduces efficiency and a reduction in efficiency is a reduction in torque which then calculates to horsepower at a given engine speed.

Thanks, Thought I was right but had one of my buddies telling me different, swears that I would have issues if I cut them out. I have decided to put a set of electronic dump vaves on in front of the cats for track use. I have a lot of mods coming in within the next couple weeks! Then it's off to get it dynoed.
