Launch RPM???
I was thinking of taking Scarlette to the test and tunes tomorrow night. BONE STOCK Manual. What's a good Launch RPM that y'all've had success w/? I haven't had a chance to play much w/ launching this car yet. Thanks.

I agree with lindsay..Try about 2000 rpm and adjust accordingly..IF it spins come out softer or if bogs or grips try it harder next time until you reach a point where you get tire spin again and then drop it back down a hair....Getting the launch just right is where you really make up a good solid pass..Whatever time you can shave off of the first 60ft will be doubled at the end of the track so it is very important to get a good launch....
The type of tires you are running are key to how you will do..If they are street radials don't bother doing much of a burnout or you can actually make them slicker and they may spin even worse..No matter how good or poorly you do it is still a hell of a lot of fun and you will probably be addicted afterwards.

Yeah, I used to drag race the truck back in the day. W/ the manual trans, it was easy. Rev till 3000 rpms (rev limit is 3250), put it in 4wd and drop the clutch! Lol. Awesome 60' times.
We'll see what I can pull off. Car has just over 450 miles on her, 3 days in. I just can't stop driving it, even just cruising. It's too much fun!

A lot of the farmer types where I was growing up would do that too. Doesnt work the same with the Mustang though Ive not been overly impressed with the pirellis that came on the brembo package. I think going to Nittos would really help me get some higher rpms but still have the ability to DD.

So, about 2000rpms is about prefect w/ the Pirellis. On my best run, I actually launched a little higher. (It's a bit difficult to hold it at 2000rpms....this thing is REV HAPPY!) Anyway. Right at 2000 it bogs just a little. 2200-ish was about perfect. Now if only I had a 2-step! LOL.
12.959@110.9 Spun 1st a little, 2nd, and hit the rev limiter in 4th just before the end.

2K is defo good. Maybe 2250 at most on dry roads and stock tires. anything higher and you will wheel slip like crazy.
The MT82 has a very deep 1st gear so launching at 2500RPM or higher is all but perfect. At least on stock tires.
I am assuming you have the very base 3.31:1 rear gear. If you have 3.73:1 rear gears, I would say nothing over 2000 RPM unless you just hate your tires that badly.
