SO recently went to the track with my 3.73 6mt 5.0. Was shifting into 5th right before the traps, trapping 112.33. Ive read some people just hold 4th gear to the line and that 4th maxes out around ~112 on a stock tire.

So im planning on an intake, boss manifold, and tune. Im expecting ~115 traps.

Im wondering with the extra ~700rpms opened up with the boss manifold reving to ~7700rpms if i would be able to hold 4th gear through the line. Anyone have an equation to show what 4th would take me to mph wise with a ~7700rpm redline?

You should be able to. When I had my Boss manifold, I was running 4.10 gears and a 28" tall DR and had to shift into 5th right before the end. I think that you will be able to hold 4th.

I have 3.73s... boss intake... 7500 rpm limiter. I go through the lights in 4th right before the limiter at a little over 114 mph. Maybe 7200-7300 RPM. Perfect gearing if you ask me.

You will be able to without the boss intake. I'm crossing the line about the time it red lights (7400 rpm) in 4th gear at 116mph with just exhaust CAI and tune on street tires.
