Default Lowering Springs

Another quick post here...again, new to this car.

2013 Mustang GT

As you all are aware, these cars sit up pretty high. I was wanting to install a set of lowering springs for the beast. However, do I need to get new shocks and struts?

Thanks,

I would highly recommend new dampers. The stock dampers are poor and lowering puts more stress and strain on them.
If your goal is just looks and not handling or ride then springs alone may suit you.
The Koni SR.T non adjustable are on sale for about 300 and worth every penny. If you don't lower more than a inch in the front then you should be able to "carefully" reuse the stock strut mounts and still be within spec on camber. With a modest drop you may be able to use the stock panhard bar so check for centering being within spec after you finish the drop before investing in an adjustable.
Check out the Steeda sport springs. A reasonable drop. They happen to also be on sale for Memorial Day weekend.

I'm ordering a set of the Steeda Sports since they are on sale this weekend. I bought a set of the Koni yellows while they are still 25% off. The SRTs were my second choice but I wanted the adjustability. can't go wrong with either one from what I've read. Supposed to make worlds of a difference.

You don't NEED new shocks and struts, but they'll improve the handling if you do. Also, you should consider an adjustable panhard bar to center the rear axle after you lower it. I use these springs and this panhard bar, and they work really well!
