Default Select shift

I have this 2013 Mustang Gt Premium with the Select shift that’s included on the shifter I really don’t like that shift **** and I’m not interested in changing the car. So I wanted to if anyone knows if the select shift button has a cable that can either be elongated so that it can be relocated to the steering wheel ( no paddle shifters but move the button to the steering wheel making a custom hole to fit) , instead on the shifter and using a aftermarket shift **** that will change the shifter to a ball like the one they sell in American muscle, but I won’t lose the select shift option. The only lead I have is one picture but I would like to know if anyone tried checking if that shifter button is a cable
