Can I get some photos of your amp mounting solution?

I have a custom sub box where the stock shaker subwoofer goes so I can't mount my amps in the same place that the write up on this site shows.

I have two amps that need to be mounted securely and preferably in such a manner that I can still use my remaining trunk space.

I want to see or hear about things people are actually using right now.

please help, my amps are floating around my trunk right now.

If it were me and had the money, id just false floor them and add some cooling fans/vents.

I'll look into the fans....know a place that sells fan setups offhand?

Anybody else got ideas?

Here is a link to my thread from awhile back. Some guys posted pics and how they mounted theirs. I'm taking some ideas from them when I install mine this weekend actually. https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...nd-system.html

Thank you for posting that. The search feature on this forum really sucks. I tried about 20 different searches and did not come close to finding that one.

Im not sure hoe well it would fit, but ill try to describe this the best i can. You may know what i mean but im not sure so here it goes. Make a floor a few inches over the existing trunk floor, if your going for a show look you can use some kinda plexiglass so you can see through the top layer and look down on the amps. Then just get some pc cooling fans and set them up to move some fresh air around the amps to keep them from over heating. If your really wanting show looks, you can add lights asnd what not, but that basics is to have the amps under another floor so u can still stow stuff in your trunk above them, but they wont over heat.

Or you can take them out of the trunk all together.

Hello, Heres another suggestion for you!!
I mounted two alpine amps and a cap in the space between the back seat and the trunk( on a piece of diamond plated alum).
I didnt loose much trunk space and have ample cooling. I cant crawl thru from inside to the trunk any more but the sound is awsome. The subs on the other hand along with the nit bottle eat the rest of my trunk up. It looks good to me and some other people. Throw in a couple lights and Bada bing its funky time you can check out the amps/sub thing on the cardomain site. good luck to ya

Best place to mount IMO. You still have the trunk space (-sub).
