Default Question about J&M camber plates?

Looking at the provided pictures it seems that the bottom portion of the plates move side to side in relation to the top portion. I imagine the guy doing the alignment would line them up to where they need to be and then tighten down the hardware.

So I'm curious. After the alignment is complete, can you remove the plate nuts without affecting the alignment? I have a strut tower brace that I'd rather install myself, but don't want to make a stupid mistake that will cost me another alignment visit.

Thanks!

baddog671,

You shouldn't have a problem with this set up at all. You can either throw the brace on first then take it to get aligned or you could get the CC plates and alignment done first then throw the brace on. Considering your only taking the nuts off and your not actually removing the plates, you won't throw anything off.

I hope this helps, Let me know if I can be of any assistance!

Ok. I didn't know how difficult it was to move them while installed, or if they were under tension and will move when the nuts are released.

Thanks for the info!

If you take all the nuts off at once, yes, the plates can move and you can lose your alignment settings.

Unfortunetly the brace I have utilizes all 4 bolts so they all have to come off at once.

Maybe I will install it prior to having the alignment and just leave it alone.
