i have a 95 mustnag with 2 12" xplode speakers and a pyle 1300 watt amp. i have had problems with it and right now i get a wierd noice when i put my cd player in (i have a pioneer removable cd face). to tell u the truth it sounds like my exhaust. I dont have a capacitor on it and i think that might be the reason for it but i wanna know what u guys think

 

Your wires are picking up the electromagnetic signal from your power wires. Try running your coax on the opposite side of your car as the amp power. Also run power for the amp straight off the battery with its own fuse.

 

a capacitor is not the answer... actually it's a waste of money... but that's my opinion and I can give you the whole contest and proof if you want... but what you want to do is check your rcas... assuming that you've run them correctly check your ground... 90% of the time it's because you never bothered to sand down the paint before attaching the ground... the ground is JUST AS IMPORTANT as the power wire... you can't have power without both + and - so there you go with your first mission... get back to me if you still have problems.

 

Friends and I fought this problem for a long long time. Simple things to do are making sure there is a good ground on your battery, bolted right to the frame. Also try grounding your head unit chassis. I had to do that once on a kenwood to get to to stop wining.

Unfortunalty, some amps filter out whine and some dont. Several times we have found the only answer is to swap out the head units. 99 percent of the time, if the noise is fairly loud, that is the problem.

 

I have a problem with my system because it makes a wierd noise it sounds like static. im pretty sure the problem has to do with the power and ground wires running into the amp because the system works fine after i tighten the bolts that hold the sockets in place. after tightening these bolts, it works fine for about a week. does anyone have any solutions? thanks
