Go for the stock stereo. With the money you save over the Shaker 1000 system will be probably 1200 dollars. You can go on the internet and order aftermarket items from sites such as www.ikesound.com or www.etronics.com and get a hell of a lot better system than what Ford has to offer.

If it's that much I wouldn't bother with it, you know what's funny is that summit actually has good prices on audio equipment.

How do you program Shaker 1000, So that the display will show call letters and the song that is playing, You push something but can't remember what !

It really depends if you would rather finance the cost of upgrading to a medocre stock stereo or pay cash for a superior aftermarket system.

If you are happy with the stock Shaker 1000 get it and call it a day. If you are not going to be satisfied, buy the cheapest possible and spend your money on aftermarket equipment.
