Memphis has an unregulated power supply
The reason that JL needs to shut down after 10.5 volts is because of limitations of the wire. After 10.5 (you can actually do the math to prove this if you've taken a basic circuit analysis cource), is that current draw goes up exponentially beyond that point. The current draw is such that the wire would be in danger of melting, or you would just start popping fuses and breakers.
2 different typed of amps, and each has their +'s and -'s.
BTW, If your amp is only geting 10 volts, you may want to start upping your charging system. Even though it works, that's not good for the amp or your speakers.

hiss wasnt out of line tell you about the cap. and also this isnt a forum to try and sell stuff. i have a stereo shop but i dont go around on every post trying to sell something from my store. also that JL slash amp will kick the crap out of the RF.
