best sub for under $200???
Polk makes excellent inexpensive subs. I've had their old DX line (similar to current db line) for a few years, and they play nice and deep and without distorting. They're basically cheaper 'cos of lack of demand, not lack of quality.
Im guessing his answers to your question will be...
1. Both SQ and SPL, a mix of both.
2. Whatevers loudest/ Whatever fits
3. Don't know yet.
MTX 7500 12" You won't be sorry. I think in a retail scenario your looking at $225. Ebay or internet dealer you'll easily be under $200. If you want to safely be well under $200 the 5500 12" is a decent driver too. But the 7500 is definatly worth the extra cash. If you have the tools go to a hardware store and buy a sheet of MDF and build your own box, or buy the MTX with the Sledgehammer enclosure with it. Also the Sledgehammer boxes are virtually perfect for the driver, if you have the money buy it with the box.

2. I want 2 12's because they "bump" "loder" than one 10 yo!
3. Jl Audio is making me a custom box dawg, Tweeter bought like 50 of them, and they iz just for my stang dawg!
speaking of Tweeter i fixed this guys radio that he got installed by Tweeter and i pulled the radio out and i was like WTF i guess they ran out of connectors to splice into the radio harness so they used BAND AIDS instead....LOL...
i would have to say one of the loudest and half way decent sound subs is the american bass DX or XO line. you can get them from 10-15" and dual or single 4ohm and only need around 300 watts. their list is under 200 from a dealer so that should be well within your budget.
