Hey guys.. just purchased my first mustang. I have the mach setup in my 01 stang and other vehicles that i have done work on have screws holding the plastic around the deck in... im trying to install a aftermarket deck but cant seem to find where to start and dont wanna break anything.. haha.. how did you start and what do i need to do.. haha..

Mustang radio's generally pull out from the front with ford radio removal keys just like any other ford. The keys are available at any auto parts store, $5....

 

+1 on the ford removal keys. I got mine at WalMart.

But I don't see the part where he said that he "had" an 01. It doesn't look edited and it seems to make sense to me, lol. But then again, I am on some heavy pain meds right now

I didn't need anything but a nutdriver (I think, or maybe a screwdriver) to unscrew the screws holding the head unit and it pulled right out, but I dunno if the 01 is any different.
