Default HID lights

I'm getting the Gen I projector kit and i have also bought extra H1 8000k bulbs. These new bulbs are H.I.D. lights, and ive heard, that to run these properly i also need a H.I.D. Conversion kit. Is it possible to run these lights without the kit? It says 55w are needed, and thats how much factory is. But if anybody knows about this it would be great to know. Also, i heard that real H.I.D. lights are not as hot, and then i've heard that they are hotter...which one is true, because since this is an aftermarket headlight casing i was thinking of getting more insulation to keep any particles and water (especially vapor from heat pressure) from the lights because I've heard of pressure problems with aftermarket lights and some how water vapor gets in and starts fogging up the lights. sum1 please enlighten me?

Plus this new Gen I kit has 2 lights in each housing, so four lights total, if i did have to get a HID 8000k H1 kit would i have to get 2 of them for each housing?

you need a whole kit...sell those bulbs and buy a whole kit from email this ebay seller and tell him patrick from CA with the mustang sent you

you need to have the ballasts and the relays and everything so the bulbs won't just plug in

You should only have 1 HID per beam. Although with the conversion kit you will do away with your high beam, leaving you only with the low beam which would be your projector. You can get HID kits with hi/lo beams as is the link posted above. I personally only use Philips and McCulloch kits.
