I'd go with the kicker, dont use a capaciter if you set your system up right you dont need them. i run a single infinity perfect 12" with 400 watts, its more than enough for a notchback and would be perfect in a h.b.

dont let someone that doesnt listen to rap tell you whats best they just dont understand

sorry to jump in but IMO Dimond Audio, or tREO is the way to go my (2) 12's Dimond Audio and (2) 1000 rms JL amps are the loudest.
They Can make my brothers ears bleed....

I manage a car stereo shop during the day... It really depends on budget amp and power. Is your car a hatch or trunk model and what radio do you have?

right now i just have an eclipse cd player deck, and a jl audio 500/4 amp to power the speakers i will get soon. But first i want to do subss and an amp for them.

For some reason i really want the alpine type r's. Does anybody know if 2 of these is too much or will one be loud enough.

Do you have the 300/4 or the 500/5? I like the alpine type r 12's and I can get them to you new for around 150 a piece. Also I can get you Jl if you need it.... though you are talking about some money for a comprable amp to push the subs. What is your car a hatch or trunk model? I can tell you that you can get alot of bass by matching a decent amp, inexpensive subs and a Custom made box!
let me know

You are going to need another l5 if you want the subs to last! also I would recommend a sealed box... you can go prefab to save cash. Also if yall need anything holla at me... Oh well guys:

naw if your going to buy another sub just pick up another l5... that way you have more than enough bass and the subs wont be as stressed
