Default 01 Mustang stock speaker wiring info needed

Hi I have a 01 Mustang gt and Im installing a car alarm. While everything is apart I want to install my kick-panel pods and install some mids and tweeters. How can I tap into the stock speakers to get a signal to the new speakers? Or should I tap info the factory amplifiers? Does anyone know what wires I can tap into? PLease help. Thanks,
Chris

If you tap into the speaker wires you will take power away from the speakers that the wire is heading to. The tweeters in your car are not amplified they run off the radio. The woofers are amplified, but the stock amps only push around 13 wattsrms to each speaker. So that means if you do that then you will only get about 6-7 watts to your new speakers in the kickpanels and only 6-7 watts to the woofers in the doors. It would sound horrible, sorry to tell you. What you need to do is go and find a cheap amp or something to push the speakers in the kickpanels. No worries, you can find them for as cheap as $25-50 in some pawn shops. Then take the amp to a stereo shop and have them sell you an adapter that they have so that you can run an amp off your stock cd player. Its pretty cheap also. Then youll just need to wire it all up. Itll sound 100x better than if you tried to tap into the wires.
