XM Radio mounting
I just bought an '07 Mustang GT and I'm trying to figure out how to mount my XM radio in the car...I'd done something in my old Saturn where I fabricated a bracket that fit between the dash top and the gauge pod/vent area. It worked great for the Saturn, but now I don't want to mess up my brand new dashboard...So, I have to figure out a new way to mount the XM Radio and run it into the AUX input in the console.
Anyone have any ideas/pics of your own satellite mounting installations?

What XM radio do you have? I have the Sportscaster and I'm thinking of mounting it ti the front of the dome light cover. The sportscaster is slim and black. I would have to extend the power cable so that I could hide it.
Check out ProClip. Click on vehicle mounts, then pop in the info (Ford, Mustang, 2007). I think they have three options now. I bought one from them back when I had my dash mounted unit in my sentra. Now with the Stang, I've moved to an integrated unit in an aftermarket stereo. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the recommendation about the ProClip...They've got a mount that I like that goes right between the air vents.
This would accomodate my SkyFi radio that I've got (I use that one because I've got the car kit in my F150 and we're putting one in the Vette we're restoring as well) quite nicely.
I did go and get a suction cup one that's currently mounted in the Mustang, but I've been hearing reports of people getting stopped for obstruction of view, so it might be coming off if I get stopped for it.
Anyway, here's how I've got it; I routed the antenna wire around to the trim that goes down the A-Pillar, down to a location under the seat, where the excess hangs; the Line In line runs under the trim down the door frame as well, to route under the seat, and up into the console for the Aux In port in the console itself.
The power for it I routed down along the side of the dash, and then brought it where the top and bottom half of the gauge cluster meets, pulled it over the top of the steering column, and then back along the split in the gauge pods again to the power outlet just above the stereo.
Ideally, I'd liked to have run it behind the black plastic under the dash, and then up the side of the dash to where the dashboard meets the A-Pillar trim and out, but I didn't want to be trying to take off the underdash parts without knowing how it all snaps together, for fear of breaking something and having to take it in to the dealer to get new trim pieces that I don't exactly have the money for.
