Default Amp problem, please advise

So I was listening to my music in my car the other day and my subs cut out during a song. So i'm thinking wtf, that usually doesnt happen because I know I set it up alright (wires in nice and tight) but I still figured maybe a wire came loose from the ground, battery or remote.

Anyways, I took a look at it and my amp is getting no power. So I checked all wires, fine. Checked the fuses on the 12V as well as on the actual amp and all are fine. When I turn my car on, the light for the amp (red light means the amp has 12v power but cant be used, possibly due to connection problem or settings are too high - it has safety control on it so it shuts off to avoid overheating), well ya the red light comes on and then completely shuts off. So at no time does the green light come on.

Could this be due to something with the cold?

try disconnecting your speakers, and even wiring up a test speaker to see if your output is good, and your speakers bad. There is also a chance that the speakers are shorted, causing the amp to go into protection mode. If that is the case it should light up normally when you disconect them.

well i disconnected the subs (no speakers connected to amp), and the sub still wont work. I got the green light to come on for a second but then completely went off, not even the red light stays on...

Could it be because its a garbage amp (which it is) that is starting to **** up because of the cold?

Try hooking another speaker up to the amp. IT can be almost anything from an old stock speaker layin around or even a small bookshelf speaker from your house.

i'm pretty confidant you can rule out temperature, as the cause
of your amp issue
