like i am...i knew there was WAY better stuff out there when i got my system...i just thought it would cost an arm and a leg so i settled for some somewhat decent stuff..what i DIDN'T know was that i COULD HAVE had FAR superior products for the same price if not CHEAPER than the stuff i bought...and THAT pisses me off...so i wish i HAD heard all this stuff before i went out and made a purchase...and for the record i did not buy a single thing from best buy...all my stuff came from a shop that has a pretty good amount of experience...other than my radio which i bought at Good Guys because they were having a special on them...and even then Good Guys used to be the best place to get stuff out of the chain electronic stores

man, some of you guys are idiots. maybe I missed it, but I believe there was not one single fact in this thread, just "I don't like it because I don't like it."
What you don't understand is that car audio is subjective. Thats why so many morons with improper enclosures will tell you 10's are "tighter" then 12's. On a cost basis the Type R can be destroyed by other available woofers that are cheaper.

No one is saying the alpine Type R is as bad as a funky pup (do research), but we are trying to get people to realize they can do MUCH MUCH BETTER for thier money!!! It is just that simple!!!!! If you have a type R and love it, and its one of 6 subs you've heard thats great. I've heard a lot more then 6 subs and I can tell you it is not anywhere near the best objectively or subjectivelyI have heard.

Laserred is a good example of someone that wants to learn, and that is why he is valuable to this forum. If you can't draw on the experience of those that are expreinced what are you baseing your facts on.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any facts. I believe he is just trying to see why we all justify the Type R as something that people shouldn't drool over.

BTW

I like how the W7 performs and sounds, but it is very overpriced and overrated. It sounds good, but compared to other products I can get for less, I would never buy one.

The type R sounds like doo doo no matter how you put it.... FACT

Well, given a smal budget, the Type R isn't a horrible driver. It's just the fact that you could get a nice Fi for the same price or less, and sound better.

The one's like Chris01GT or something, he angers me. I don't enjoy helping people like that. Sure, Jazzer, you can be a pushover and let them run all over you. Be my guest
Ok. Imade a threadasking a relevent question and yousaid "go away[&:]".

How is that helping?....If your not going to help why bother posting anberating comment on a thread? Not everyone has unlimited funds to spend on their cars. I wanted a setup for under $500 and I got a 30%-40% discount on everything. How did I deserve to get flamed for that?....

i'm sure the Fi or eD's would sound better for the same amount of money...and its funny i had heard good stuff about the eDs long before i got my system...but it was only from one person and i didn't want to take a chance on something that you would have to order factory direct...although now i am kicking myself for NOT doing that

That is exactly correct and it seems everytime somebody askes about a brand you don't like, either to install it or a general question we keep jumping all over them. If somebody wants to know how to install an alpine product I will be glad to help them. If it is Jensen sony or any other brand i will tell them what wires to find and where. If it is even a product I hate, I will help them. Telling them that they own junk, got ripped off or that they are stupid just doesn't help.

I ignor the posts that I do not want to participate it which is generally about product. I am the installer, not the sales man, i do not want to answer those posts which is why I ignored this one until it was 6 pages long. Now it is just a pissin match between a couple of what appears to be kids with keyboards. Give it a rest people.

I think we need a basic rule that if you don't have anything good to say in responce to a post, don't say anything. It has always been that simple for me but for some reason people feel a need to respond to every post.

We have also been throwing out alot of info that was bad if a few cases by talking about stuff as though we know what we are talking about. IF you are not for sure about a question do not give advise with out a warning that you are not sure. We can cause problems up to and including vehicle fires with bad audio info.

again I say, everybody like pizza right?
