WTF is an open box.
4.
Congrats, I could add a single 10" (anything) and a JL Clean Sweep to my factory Mach system and be under $600 at retail, and sorry but it'll sound better.

12 " type R single in an open box.
4.
4 type S door speakers, and a dual fold out touch screen. Subs powered on a Sony 2002gtr amp.
Sounds amazing. and i payed under 1500 for it all. (I love working at best buy)

An open box would be one thats not ported.
Secondly, we don't all own Mach systems in our cars. And I would say that my Allpine system would sound better. Oh and that price you gave wouldn't include a fold out touch screen, 4 high quality speakers and an amp, now would it?
Your amp is not high quality and your speakers are mediocre at best.
You got hosed if you paid $1500. Monkeys install things better then most best buy techs.
What the hell is an open box? (ported if anything)

So you have an infinite baffle "box"?
If Type-S are high quality then I dont even want to hear what you refer to Type-R, let alone the Type-X series speakers. From the sound of it, you wouldn't even be able to fathom a word for the Type-X'syou would just instantly shoot your wad thinking about them.
You obviously dont even know what a Clean Sweep is let alone heard/usedone have you?
No I would say for a complete system with a useless, as far as functionality goes, fold out, installation and everything around $6,500. Unless you of course know how to do and design everything yourself and know what equipment to use and how to effectivly spend your money. Thats about the price you'd be looking at.
Bandpass is actually pretty simple PReal. It's that killer looking box with the blue illumination inside thats at Best Buy, another High Quality piece of audio madness they sell there. Im sure unknown can tell us how amazing these are. Let me guess you'd recommend these for the audiophiles only right? They are the pinnacle of audio performance? Im going to guess your rating is somewhere in that range...

BandpASS is definately only for the snobbiest o f audiofiles. What else would you want then a different sub for every frequency in an optimally designed enclosure.
One note wonder FTW!!!
no lets get into that, im interested what the difference is, the only difference ive ever heard is 'ported' is used when there are ports...uh yea and bandpass is the crappy ones you see at the audio shops
To get a bandass box working right is very difficult. A bandpass is basically two boxes. One that is ported and one that is sealed. The ported will be where the basket and magnet are, and the sealed end will be where the cones of the driver are. Bandpass are generally easy to make loud but very hard to make them sound good at all. Thats why you see low end brands putting together those combos of 2 junk subs in a bandpass box because 95% of the people that buy them just get them to be loud and nothing else.
