The ed 6500 series are direct derivatives of the CDT HD series and are very nice.

I have not heard the 6000 series, but everything I have read on them makes them seem very nice.

damnit well i just talked to the guy at eD whos owned the jl v3 and said that their sub was an upgrade in every way. so im goin with that lol. umm since im taking out my rear speakers and upgrading my front ones with a component set would it be smart to bridge my HU to two channels to get away with not getting an external amp for my front stage?

The ed is an upgrade in every way.

No,your hu cannot take a 2 ohm load. Buy acheap 2 channel amp and you will be fine.
