That looks like a great setup for the money. I'm glad we could help.

Make sure to post an install thread with lots of pics.

Those are good solid equipment choices for your budget. If that's your first system its a ton better than mine was!

If you want to upgrade later, I'm a big fan/$ of the MBQ *R*CE series. They can be had really cheap on ebay if you're willing to risk used speakers. Not a ton of power handling though...

A little over budget but nice http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4619
So I ended up getting this amp which has a built-in clipping detector. It is running my two 10" Rockfords but I can only turn the gain up about 40% of the way before it begins to clip. So my amp has plenty of additional power I'm unable to take advantage of, right? If so, what single 10" or12" sub would be a perfect match for the amp?

Around $125. I only want one sub; not a pair. Preferably a 12".

I can't remember which amp you got, but that will determine what vc configuration to get.

I ended up with the Eclipse XA1000 like this http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4619
Will one of these 12s sound better than my two Rockford 10s? If so, which one would work best with my amp?

If you bought that amp, you really need to get a nicer sub. That budget is a little low but these subs are amazing for the price.

This sub would be great is a hair under $200 http://www.tcsounds.com/tc9.htm

This sub would also work really well and is $120 http://www.tcsounds.com/tc1000.htm

If you want to go really cheap $75 http://www.tcsounds.com/db500.htm

These subs share a lot of the same architecure witha lot of higher end subs. TC is actually the OEM of many of the parts seen on a lot of nice stuff.

So if I got the $120 sub above, would it sound noticibly better than my two 10" Rockfords with the Eclipse XA1000 amp?
