Sounding better is a completely relavent term. It depends on installtion of existing equipment, installation of new equipment, and what your ear likes. I prefer the likes of a tc sounds aluminum cone (very similar to my eclipse sw8122). I have heard the current rockford stuff, but was not impressed.

I can't state it enough, sound quality is subjective.

Yes, I would run that amp at 2 ohms. TC Sounds also has a deal on 2 10's for around $100. That also might be a great option, plus you could use the same box.
