Best single sub and amp for <2K
You want the best, try to land an old school Phoenix Gold ZPA 0.5 or a US Amps VLX series. No class D power supply BS, loads of power and ultra clean. Get your check book and a man's charging system though.. My ZPA was known to draw over 80A continuous powering my little 10's (x4). .
MMATs is not an sq company at all.
I think running class A/B is dandy, but not even the most diserning ear can really tell the difference. If he could upgrade his charging systemto around 300 amps then he might be able to run class A/B.

So what's the problem?
I said bring a man's charging system... With the budget he's got in mind that's the level he's playing at.
Personally, now that I've "been there and done that", $2500 would be over my budget for the entire system... Something totally respectable can be done for less than $1500.

everything in my trucks shakes so bad
My Bonneville shookeverything bad as well when I had 4-12" Duals in it. I wasn't aware that makeing things vibrate was a reference to how good a woofer is.
I can smell by wiping **** all over myself, but it wont be a pleasent smell.
I will never spend money like that on a sub setup. I don't understand why people pay so much for a part of the stereo that produces less then 1% ofthe audible hearing range. I'll spend mine of mids and highs.

It might be less than 1% of the audio spectrum, but its near 90% of the feeling. My mids and highs are nice, but when you turn it up and drive on the freeway with the windows down you miss a lot of the lower notes. I'm thinking about the XXX. That thing looks bad ***. How does the JL 1000W compare to these other amps? What about the US amps 1000W? Jackhammer is cool too, but at 22", 6000W and 370lb its a little to big for a mustang trunk (and my budget)!

I don’t know a whole lot about the audiophile stuff, but I just added a Kicker ZX1500.1 and two kicker L7 Solobaric subs to my system. It really woke things up!! In my limited car stereo experience, I have found Kicker to be a good company. Just my two cents.
