I don’t know a whole lot about the audiophile stuff, but I just added a Kicker ZX1500.1 and two kicker L7 Solobaric subs to my system. It really woke things up!! In my limited car stereo experience, I have found Kicker to be a good company. Just my two cents.
Thanks for being an excellent newb and acknowledging your lack of experience. If you pay close attention to what the more experieced audio people have to say, you might just learn something.

ok if you would like you can call me at 985-705-6182 after 1pm Central when i get out of school.
i have vast knowledge of audio equiptment...look at the video...i have the 2 12" pioneers in the back that have 400rms and 1000w peak. then the one in the front is the pioneer Premier 12". its 1000RMS and 3000MAX!
the amp is a kicker zx1000.1! i ran all 3 subs with that one amp! the 2 12" pioneers are single voice coil at 4ohm each. i wired them to 2ohm. the premier is dual voice coil at 4ohm. it is wired to 2 ohm also. when wired correctly the amp sees a 1.34 ohm load. the amp is rated for 2ohm but it will run the setup. with the amp and just the premier...i got another ported box for it...its a ProBox...(the best ported box ever!) i out beat a JL W7 12" sub!!!! im not joking either....i was very impressed! if ur interested i am looking to sell the Premier/box/& amp for $650.

Yikes... That is the worst concept for running subs I have ever heard.

NEVER mix different subs on the same amp. Its just a recipe for doom.
NEVER exceed the recommended load of the amplifier. Its not a matter of it will fail, its a matter of when.

yes and no. as stated earlier some brands are underrated...like kicker and jl. i am not an idiot. you have to know what the limits are. i know when the sub cant handle anymore...its all in the sound tuning. i had it set so that i could turn my headunit to as high as it would go and the subs and mids/highs would not distort. i run that setup for a very long time. yes the amp will shut its self off when it overloads. turn down the bass just a hair and there is no more problem. kicker makes top notch amps. but untill you hear it please do not talk smack out my knowledge or equiptment.

You are indeed an idiot. Please read every thread and post on pages one and two, then post, or leave the forum.
