beginning installation right now! Please help!
Been installing for 15 yrs. I have ALWAYS ran my remote wire with my rca's just like everyone else does. I have never had noise from a remote wire........... The remote wire is not a power wire and it is perfectly acceptable to run with the rca's.

Wrong... You NEVER run power next to signal. Keep the remote and the main power as far from the signal wires as possible until they meet the head unit or amp.
There's only a slight possibility of picking up noise from a small remote wire, but why risk it? I always run power (and remote) down one rocker and signal down the center console.

the ground wire goes to anyplace that is a ground, try to get it to a bolt on the frame. The remote wire you should run with your rca cables up to your head unit. You will hook it up to the amp turn on, or power antena, different radios call it different things.

The only time I ran my remote with my RCAs I had noise with turn signals, engine hum, and alt whine. Maybe it was just a fluke in that car. That's also my only experience with a ground loop isolator box (and it didn't work).
Anyhow t, I respect you and your knowledge and I'm not trying to say you're wrong. I just had an experience, be it one time, that was otherwise.
most peole that i know just like my self run it like this power wire on the driverside and then run the remote and rca's on the passenger side there no interferance at all. The remote is only there to have the amp power on at a certian time like when the radio turns on or you can run it to a fuse doesnt matter.
When I said constant power, I ment constant when the deck is on. And Adema is right, you can run your remote off of a switched fuse at the box if its easier. I always run mine off of the deck so the amps shut down if the radio is off. Otherwise the amps will be powered on any time the key is on.
Thanks for all your help guys. I have it installed and it sounds great! I did run the remote next to the power wire and i don't hear any weird noises. I used the remote to the fuse box and the high sensing connection off both amps in the trunk and it sounds great and works fine. I need to do a litte rerouting of some thigns to clean it up but otherwise i love it! Thanks to everyone for your help!
Glad it all worked out good for ya. The power/signal thing is kinda like having a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Most of the time it might not mean anything at all to you, but when something happens you'll be happy about how you prepared!
Sure thing! I need somewhere to put the amp, and i don't know how to mount it or where. So right now it is lying on the trunk floor. I would mount it to the back fo the sub boc but the terminals for the boc are on the back and i don't want to cover those. Maybe i can creat an amp rack of sorts over the existing amps. I was thinking of maybe changing the top trunk cover so the sub will fit back further too. I'm not sure if that will causea problem with the top coming down though. When i take some picks maybe you guys can help me out.
