Can voice coils be fixed?
I have a used Pyle "Blue Wave" 1200 12 in speaker wih dual voice coils. The voice coils on one side is ripped off. Can this be repaired or should I just trash the speaker? I was just gonna sell it. Looks like someone already tried to repair one side in the pics atached.

That is a tinsel lead not a voice coil. It connects the speaker terminal to the voice coil.
If you stil want it to be useable, cut the tinsels off that are brokenand run it off of one voice coil.

Ttocs. have you ever glued a tinsel lead back on.... It is going to come right back off as soon as it gets warm from current.
I used to think you could only run a dvc with both coils, but I have since learned better. It causes no problems to run one coil on a dvc sub, but make sure your amp is stable at the resistance from the speakers.
